High in the twisting branches of the deepest forest, a figure spreads her wings over a collection of the most sacred gatherings of the forest. Hidden within the bowl, only her eyes know what they are. Perhaps she will share her secrets...
I had so much fun painting Haunted Pause that I just had to do another in the same style and format! This isn't any specific raptor species in particular, though if anything I'd say it's a bit of red-tail and immature northern goshawk.

Np ^^ David was one of many hawks used to help train apprentice gunslingers(in the books, knights with guns XD) in the arts of hunting and killing. Roland Deschain, the main protagonist used it against his teacher Cort as "his weapon" in the test of earning his guns. He was successful, but the hawk was however killed by Cort. Roland always felt friendship with the bird.
