With Emily now being three years old, Elizabeth figure it's finally time to get her potty trained, growing rather tired of changing her daughter's diapers. Although, despite being the one trying to teach Emily how to be a big girl, it's the mother skunk who learns something important in the end.

Emily and Elizabeth are truly a fantastic pair for sharing the trials and tribulations of a single mother and her cub. Each story, along with having 'Baby Fur Fan Service', has some really good lessons on what it is like to be in Elizabeth's particular position of having to raise a daughter entirely without a husband / partner / significant other. She has support from the babysitter, but that can only help with but a fraction of what is all needed to provide a boisterous youngster, like Emily, with what she needs to grow up happy.

This story is another in the 'Parenting Guidebook' series you, in my opinion, have gotten excellent in creating. Most 'How To' and 'What To Expect' books are written in very professional ways that, being honest, are nothing more than a collection of Macro-Level best practices on how not to freak out, overdue, or underperform in being a parent. Your stories, like those we have with Emily & Elizabeth, take us to where a virtual situation unfolds to really show how all children are unique and how 'milestones' can occur at times outside of the expected timeframe.

Where this tale soars to the skies is how much it proves how daunting it is to get the potty training train to move in the right direction. The story itself shows that Elizabeth, even with good intentions, was really doing all she could to quickly convert her daughter from diapers to trainers. Given how Emily has been in all stories up to this point, you can tell this was a 'doomed to failure' endeavor for Elizabeth. Why? Emily has not yet shown any displeasure over being in a thickly packed Pamper.
Children tend to show certain signs when potty training can be started. This includes hiding when they need to make a deposit into their special Deposit Boxes for dropoff in the Diaper pale Savings & Smell.
Another classic sign of readiness is the toddler / preschooler being noticeably uncomfortable after they make use of their potty pants. They may even gain enough motor ability to remove their diapers and cause some really icky antics upon being able to make a mess, drop the diaper, and parade around getting the uncleaned stuff on countless things within a dwelling.
However, back to the point, Emily has not shown any signs of being even the slightest bit ready to take on the concept of potty training. Her mom may have wanted her to get potty training underway, but you can't do it if the tyke has yet to really grasp that dropping in their drawers is something that is undesirable for hygiene and social needs.

So, as I seem to parrot, you do very well in making stories that really bring out the adventures one has in being a parent. Emily and Elizabeth definitely being the most solid, pun intended, towards being adaptable for books and other media that could really help parents see potty training, infant and toddler behavior, etc. in a more understandable light beyond hoping the book's appendix has an alphabetized index to get any relevant information.
