Image 1 of 4 for the AA Load Outs, then will be doing the image and views of the AA and WMG (wave motion gun) load out for the RL-32 War Lord.
It came to my attention shortly after completing the original War Lord that its Anti Air Capabilities were very large provided the other racks were clipped out and some side racks were integrated. So after much, not really, work the RL-32 AA Frame Warlord rolls off the line. Sporting six racks and a rocket load out of 520 rockets in all 6 racks (combined) total the AA-frame is an intimidating monster. Mixing the front line with this, the AA/WMG Load out and the Normal load out would essentially put a halt to any enemy opposition.
The AA frame is capable of tracking other missiles and using its own to knock them out of the sky, and laying out a pounding on enemy air craft that makes even air ships and starships keep out of range. Speaking of range, the AA Frame has a range twice if not three times that of the normal frame, allowing it to know whats coming even before it can see or lock onto its target, thus making FoF identification more thurough and making any mishaps of friendly fire unheard of.
The AA frame like the normal frame comes with the same option of human pilot or AI pilot to command a single machine. Each has an antenea(sp) to allow it to send and recieve commands on the battle field, or while in the ships hold prior to being dropped off. The AA Frame is without a doubt one of the GFA (Galactic Federation Army)'s steps toward controlling the sky's, what will they controll indefinately next?
Took about an hour to fix the racks just right, plot out how and where they would be and make multiple attempts to evenly space them but i got as close as i could and went with it. The Radar dish, soon to be shown, was scaled up larger and the radio antenae was made next to it. I doubt there's any way I could possibly apply more rockets to the AA frame.
Modeled in Google Sketchup 7.
Enjoy~

Thank you, took a bit of work for the turret and to align the missile racks as best I could. I already had the legs from another model so i just scaled them down and pasted them into the same page with the turret and worked from there.
I really need to finish up the artillery version...

after i made the spots the racks would sit on i went through with the line tool and made lines along the green axis until i was satisfied with the spacing then i just copied the original rack 5 more times used the guide tool to center the front of each rack with the center of each spot they would rest.
After that i used the guide lines to lower them down.
As for the legs, i made one, attached it to the central point, selected it entirely leg and base, grabed the rotate tool, hit ctrl to make it copy while rotating and copied the first leg to whichever point i wanted it, then selected those two legs and the base again and did another 'copy on rotate' (what i call it). the Turret, it was started out a rectangle i chipped away at the same amount on each side until i was able to lade quide lines down to create the rotary gun bases then from there i build the rotary guns barrels out of the base.
I've been doing this for nearly a year, almost, so i'm fairly well adjusted to Sketchup. I'd say it'd help to also have a healthy imagination but i figure with even a limited one anyone can pull most anything off in Sketchup.
^^; hope my wordy explination was of some help.
