Having just wrapped up a photo shoot, Ralus was ready to head home, exhausted from all the bright, warm lights and constant posing. Moments after leaving the studio, Ral overheard a loud gasp.
"It's the Wildfire Warrior! Whoa!" A young child dashed away from his parents and ran straight at Ral, shaking giddily. "I'm your biggest fan!" he shouted as he ruffled through his pockets. "Here, can you sign this for me?!" The kid pulled out some schoolwork and a pen and stared at Ralus with his cute puppy-dog eyes.
Unable to resist, Ral took the pen and paper and, with a stupidest grin on his face, began signing it. "Alright kid, hope this gets you extra credit. Always happy to meet a fan!" As he was signing, the child reminisced about some of Ral's biggest victories, and the dragon could only nod, unable to get a word in. Eventually, Ralus handed the signed schoolwork back to the kid and pointed to his parents. "Heh, I know I'm the best, but your parents are getting worried about you. How's about you head back to them, yeah?"
Ralus waved the kid off as he ran back to his parents, still regaling stories from Ral's bouts. Blushing from the sudden burst of adoration, the dragon turned around and finally made the trek home.
So this piece actually started as one of my "redraw fighting-game sprites with my OCs" pieces. But I wasn't really satisfied with a few of them. So I salvaged the two I liked the most, and this oddly wholesome piece came from one of those sketches. It comes from one of Dan Hibiki's more obscure moves; points to whoever can guess what the move is!
Oh, and what species would you say most resembles the kid? I kinda just drew something furry with no rhyme or reason, and that was the end result. I guess it's vaguely wolf-ish, but I dunno.
