Had my computer randomly shut down during the night and lost all of my work on a reference sheet (despite the program saving recovery information while I was working on it). CSP reverted to a version from at least two weeks ago, so pretty much all of my settings are out of wack and it was not a nice way to start the day.

What to say...
As an IT professional, I can say it has happened to me too. Never at work, as it is my job to prevent such losses. But at home- more than once.
I actually lost a book I had written. As in seriously long piece of work written over the space of a year. I feel your pain.

Indeed. My family used a more... outrageous expression. However it was exactly the same thing- learn from your lessons.
I have always said that there are two two types of computer users. Those that have lost data and those that will.
As to the book, I have been looking forward to rewriting it again someday. But after I develop a market for my writing first. Hence my attempts at pairing art with my words. If it does not work out, well fair enough. One must try in order to know.- and I enjoy the ride.
