A squire stratocaster. Metal version is unlikely... I don't think I could do a very good job.

:P The telecaster is nice, it has humbucker pickups on it so it has a diffrent feel than the strat. Only down side is that you can't put a whammy bar on it.

actually, my strat has a lead humbucker. Whammy bars are fun, but the tuning issues get to ya after awhile. I feel like I should go down to a guitar store someday and try every single one.

Do tell what pedals do you use and how do you record it all?

I use a digitech RP250. A USB cable directly from that into Audacity for editing/mixing.

Sadly, the pedal is discontinued. Dunno why, it has literally replaced my amp because of how versatile it is.
