Why wouldn't Jokann be? He's a very unique looking character (modeled after a bird found only in your local region), and he's also tasked with carrying his superiors to and from the main air vessel.

I've kind of been wondering about this . . . if the bird species have their wings injured at all in battle, then they're not really useful as far as carrying cargo or personnel between airships anymore, so wouldn't it make sense that most of the Cragenwall bird species would function only as scouts and less as direct combatants, if at all? We haven't seen Jokann engage in any real danger as of yet, and this seems to be the reason to me.

Of course you haven't see Jokann in any danger. He is like the final bosses of this comic so his fight will come much later.

Play some Audiomachine or Really Slow Motion music on the background during their final battle to make it more epic then hah!
