For some reason "Arklay" makes me think of "Marklar"... ^_^ but I really like this art, give your buddy a pat on the back for it.

The story behind is creation isn't amazing. He was an RP character in an RP that didn't get to finish, but I really liked his character. When I was thinking a name, I had been watching something on Resident Evil, and in the first game, the events took place in the Arklay Mountains, if those even exist. That name kind of stuck in my mind and I named him that. Mahou...Well, that means Magic in Japanese, and the RP was about magic, so, that made sense to me. I like the character, though it has been made apparent to me how emo he looks here XD He's not supposed to be

Ah! ^_^ cool, and he doesn't look Emo so much as sort of dark and intimidating... but maybe that's just me.

It's so dark and mysterious it totally draws me in I love it!. Awesome Job using negative space with the blacks.
