A close up of the animals in "The Zodiac Race"
I am really pleased at how the golden snub nosed monkey turned out. They creep me out, but I grew a bit fond of them as I painted one. The Elliot's pheasant also turned out well, too bad he's so small in the piece. I felt I could have done better on the himalayan tahr, but I was on a time crunch an I spent so much time on the other two I just had to get him done.
Monkey is holding a peony, by the way.
All three of these animals are under threat in China. I hope that with any print sales I make of this piece I can contribute to conservation efforts to save what can still be saved in the rapidly changing environment in China.

You are a very talented artist with a caring soul.
PS: In the 2-3 years I have had Painter X (and am buying Corel Painter/Digital Artist from the book store) it has not once turned out a piece like this one. There must be an up-grade I am missing. :-D
