Here's a recent commission. I've struggled with it, working to translate the intricate and very detailed feather details of a redtail to a simplified fleece format. I'm about 80% satisfied with it.
Beak, wings, eyes, yellow eye rings to match Sekh's character. Pale patch around the eyes and the base of the beak to indicate the thin, yellow-white short feathers around the hawk's beak. Applique'd black feathers on the wingtips to indicate the deeper color of the hawk's wingtips.
Beak is shaped with high density foam, layered and sculpted.
No tail, as Sekh has one of his own already ;)
