Yeah, the canon's pretty iffy. Apparently there are two versions; Mike's murderous, movie-reviewer Plnkett and Jay's deranged. parapalegic entrepreneur Plinkett. Since Mike's Plinkett was able to stumble around his house in the reviews, it makes sense that he's the version shown here.
