Anzu the RavenLord WIP [air-dry clay sculpture, 2021]

I've already sculpted Anzu the Raven Lord three times (2xAnzu + 1xFlametalon), and all these birds were in standard standing position. So when I started this one, I decided to give the sculpture more dynamics. It wasn't custom order, so I could do whatever I wanted with position and details. My original plan was to sculpt this guy standing peacefully on a rock at his best, with flowers on the base around him. But the raven wanted a part of harsh desert around and a skull under the paw.
I don't like it when things don't go according to plan in my life - but when it comes to non-custom sculptures, I really enjoy following inspiration rather than planning something.
