Enlisting in the Draconisches Heer, Kurt was his unit's grenadier, armed with a Gewehr 92 with underbarrel GW-30 grenade launcher. Upon enlisting in 2024, Kurt chose to have his wings amputated for less risk of injury as well as more comfortable rides in armored vehicles. Like all Draconics that choose to do this, he went to the base chapel for a blessing of protection from the Great Dragons, having his severed wings ceremoniously burned as the priest bestowed the blessing on him. While his first contract was relatively peaceful, mainly sitting around on base, it was his reenlistment in 2035 that would define his army career...
