This was a turn around reference sheet for Rue, the girl werewolf.
Intended for modeling in maya, there's not a lot of detail in the torso because it was intended to be covered by cloth. The character art was draw in "halfsies" half were, half girl, to add interest. My intent was to strategically use blend shapes and texture swaps for the metamorphosis of the real model.
This design was influenced a lot by... what I though the faculty wanted? So Rue looks a lot younger and more cartoony than my preferred design for her...

Probably iron or steel. I know silver has a significance with some monsters in western culture, but in this picture it was just to give the suggestion that she had been enslaved. The half and half look was chosen because its more interesting and shows both sides, but also because her character is known for being unable to properly and uniformly control her transformations.
Interesting though eventually she would be able to completely transform? And at this moment in time with this picture she can only partially change...seems an interesting concept. I know in my D&D universe me and my husband created werewolves could get "silver sickness" that would do something of the same thing above though only effected areas where silver is embedded or worn for long periods of time would it end up looking like above.
