whats with the first part? with sally's stomach?

The story was basically Rotor testing a food transfer device for the walruses up north after Eggman cut them off from their food supplies. Sally and Amy begrudgingly became the final volunteers eventually and that was the result of their first test to see it the transfer would stop when their stomachs were truly full.
