The Duo settle into things back at home, and things get back to normal. Or they would, if it weren't for a surprise guest! Well, she tried to send a letter ahead of time, but there's only so many times people make the trip between places, so mail can be a little slow unless you pay extra for a courier. Professor Dweli is here, because she's not about to let this opportunity pass her by! When else is she going to get the chance to witness an actual egg-laying in action? Poor, poor Princess...
I was debating whether to go into full details of the egg-laying, but I decided against it. This chapter passes the 80,000 word milestone, which is apparently "novel length", and I've been toying with the idea of trying to clean this up into an actual novel to see if I could sell it, and potentially others. If I did that, though, I don't think the majority of people would appreciate that level of detail... ^_^;; I might write some "side pieces" that go into detail on parts I've glossed over, like the egg-laying, if there's interest. I dunno. Speaking of word counts, this chapter is 7657 words / 12 pages, which is a pretty respectable "middle ground" for the non-superlength chapters, I think? This brings the total length to 82,064, though if I was to put this into a book, I'd have to strip the "recap" bits I've put in, so it'd probably closer to 65-70k then. Still, I'm surprised I've had this much to write, I wasn't expecting more than two, maybe three parts, when I finished the first part and realized there was more to cover. ^_^;;

I love this book! I find myself literally waking every morning and immediately checking to see if there's a new part.
The only thing I don't care for are the recap bits. This chapter nailed it - It was short simple and then went right into the story. However, the previous chapters, I find myself just skimming through every time; it’s really not necessary. Your readers aren't dumb and can remember previous events just fine. Just some constructive feedback

Thank you for the kind words and the feedback. Originally, I was doing the recap bits because I thought, "Someone might find this part and it'll be the first part they read, and I don't want them to be completely lost." But when they started getting extremely long, I knew I had to cut back on them, and by this point I figure, "It says part 11, if they get upset because they're missing something, they can read the previous parts." ^_^;;
I kinda haven't been doing any "editing pass" because I know if I get started on that, I'll second-guess myself into oblivion and never post anything, so generally, if my cursor is more than about three lines past a piece of text, it's done and doesn't get changed... But if I were to collect these into a full book or something, the recaps would definitely be axed immediately.
