Part of my $10 Fallout series....
It's Bambera, in a Vault-Tech* jumpsuit asking 'If we live underground now, why do we need clothes?' - and this being the Fallout universe, she's had to trim her mane down to merely long hair. They wouldn't let her into Disney-Land with a mane either.
*Sort of like Vault Tec but after someone noticed the typo.

They are a pain to get into.. that's why I usually go naked, or with my cloak.. no need to zip or button there. They do serve a purpose though, and keeps your sling from catching on things as you tromp through the woods.. or caves of steal as they case may be.
What i've always wondered is how are they supposed to get new fabric for those suits.
Sure, they can inherit them after their parents and all, but how much wear and tear have they suffered after those 200 years or however?
And there's only so much storage space you could fit into a Vault.
...But yeah, just my random musings.

I suspect each vault has a giant warehouse that you just don't get to see. Then again, they had GECK technology, RoboBrains and other wonders so handwave it - Just assume they have a machine that prints leather with a cheery Vault Boy logo and an upbeat instruction manual suggesting that the input hopper is the ideal way to dispose of unwanted pets, orphans and the elderly.
Well it's obvious that we don't see the whole thing (I mean, they must have a hydrophonics farm to give them some herbs to eat their dead with).
On the same time you can go into a fully stocked shop and eat 100+ yr old food without complications. Gotta love those little logic oversights :P

The reason for that is the food was irradiated before being put on sale to sterilise it, then picks up radiation to keep it sterile. That and if you find the food factory in Fallout 3, it turns out the food's not particularly organic.
And the food's about 200 years old at this point. At least in Fallout New Vegas, you can make fresh food by harvesting plants.
