I would really like to get a tour of the inside! Any idea when it was built?

According to Wikipedia it was build in 1901. It was used only as water tower until 1910 when the village on Eschersheim was incorporated into Frankfurt and connected to the municipal water network.

Amazing to see something that old still standing. Hell have of the things that were built in the last 20 years are already falling about around my home town.

Old? That tower was build in 1901, thats just 121 years old. Thats not old for a building. The apartment building I live in was build in 1913. The oldest part city hall of Frankfurt is from the early 14th century. The oldest structures in this city that are still standing were build some 800-900 years ago. And ruins of structures that are almost 2000 years old have been found in the city center.
This tower is not old.

I meant old by today's standards. In any case 121 years is still a long time. Your apartment was built in 1913? That is really cool, I bet its got an interesting history. Man I would love to visit Germany some day. Hell I would love to take a trip across Europe.
