On their way to investigate a strange tesseract anomaly, Nall, acting as the ship's AI, reminded Russet it was time to place a call with the other ships taking part in the expedition and see how they were getting on.
Silenrea was her cheerful self, happily running experiments while she let her ship handle the flying.
Basque'et was having a blast with his craft on fully manual control and enjoying a chance to put his ship through its paces.
Scott was enjoying quite the pleasant ride with no problems to report, their ship zipping along on the ever-reliable cosmic dust.
Qubit however wondered if maybe he should have selected a better class of craft, the 'one previous owner' of his ship has left it in quite a state, and he still wasn't sure what all the buttons did.

This was quite a massive project, I wanted to surprise
Rufellen with something for his birthday and the idea sort of grew and grew as I spoke with and got a few friends on board to join the picture!
Featured here is my jackal, Na-o'ik, Russet's avali form, also known as Seinu,
azimuth as Nall their pine marten,
Silenrea as their rikkor,
Ruffwood as their wickerbeast Basque'et, ScotDerg the creator of
StarWarriors, and
orona's protogen, Qubit.
Thanks to all the authors of the original avatars, I'll be uploading full versions of each those 'video call' screens this week (which were their own individual renders!) and providing further avatar credits on there!
For now, featured on this pic as the jackal by Artleck, the kitavali by
raikitamatsu and Nall's bespoke model was created by Nadir
Spaceships, Scene, retexturing of Na-o'ik and Russet and final render by myself, done using Blender 3.0.1 and Substance Painter. Nature assets were created by Udon-Cat-Works.
