Then 2018, I commissioned this follow-up, to show how the two characters have changed over the years. About 11 years later now that I think about it...
"You would think time would move slowly since everything happened. The two of us enjoying life, like we were always like this."
"You know, thinking about it now, it's kind of weird having someone else in my head... the first week was nothing but conflicts with what we wanted to do. Plus I use to be able to say things like, Me or myself. Kind of hard to do that now that I'm no longer alone, you know?"
"Heh! Daydreamer, snap out of it," yelled the small red rodent in front of her, quickly finding out she was seconds from walking into someone.
Taking a quick look upward, only to see nothing but the sky above, Era couldn't help but smile. Taking her hand up, Era quickly covered her third eye, giving it just enough shade to look onward without an issue. The hulking beast stood a few feet tall, maybe 7 feet? About 2 feet more than her previous height.
Was it not for the 3rd eye on her forehead, one would probably assume she had worked out a lot in order to get such a body? Most folks wouldn't have believed how quick she became this way, without one speck of hard work, but nowadays... well things happen. Though the one attached to her... not as often, unlike her sis, which the city seems to be growing more of lately.
"This is still all sorts of new to me," said Era as she walked alongside her younger sis. The small rodent, bubbly and cute, stood beside her big sis, wearing the cheesiest of smiles, all the while her tail swished behind her, showing off that spade tip as it pokes upwards every so often, with the lone eye, blinking at folks nearby before turning its attention towards her sibling.
The small mouse wasn't always like this. Kyera, as her name is, is normally a few inches shorter from her older sibling, and more dragon-like in appearance, but now... now... well now she seems to be habiting her mouse form more often. Won't tell me exactly why, but long as she's happy, that's what matters, right?
"So sis! Like old times huh," Kyera asked, bumping her elbow into her sister's side, smirking as she twirls around her giant sis, leaning forward with a mouse-like toothy smile, showing off that bucktooth with such an innocent smile.
Taking her hand, she places it on her sister's head, picking up the little squeaker and putting her to the side. "Mmhm, though I'm pretty sure, I wasn't this good stack... nor was I female." Era couldn't help but crack a smile. Everything was new and honestly, enjoyed every moment. "Can't say I miss the old me, though, didn't think I would have to spend so much to upgrade my wardrobe." The small mouse eye twinkled as she looked at her sis. "Oh don't worry! We have ALL weekend! So I'm going to make sure you look good, or I'll die trying! Right?" She looked at her tail, who looked just as determined as she was, both charging forward to the nearest clothing store.
Era simply stood there, dumbfounded by her sister's cheerfulness, but still kept a smile on her face. The soft rumbling of the crowncrab that attached to her, notice a food stand, making motions of wanting something to eat. She laughed silently and went over to it, not wanting to starve her roommate, leaving their sibling to yell out, wanting them to hurry up!
