Philomela - Stairway To Heaven - VulKriid
VulKriidArt drew this piece for me, which has a special value.A common trope about women here in italy is that they are a "stairway to heaven"
They begin teaching this concept to kids at an early age and reinforce it from school tier to school tier.
So women are apparently this "thing" that will get them to heaven if they wait for... "something" which should happen and then they... "something" and then they get to heaven.
If you don't see a problem in the education system (which should totally never mention sex or even attraction) you are not the only one.
This basically means kids "do it" out of spite and will of breaking conventions. And in ignorance. And they equate bliss with heaven.
But "god" forbid proper education. That would lead to improper behaviour. Yyyeah. Suuure.
So: have Philomela waving around "the key to her heart", while she rises on this stair.

So you are from italy, hm? Interesting. As for the metaphor you mentioned, I have heard that phrase before, but I for one wouldn't say women ARE stairways to heaven, but rather that once you find the right partner - regardless of gender - you can find a measure of bliss and fulfillment previously undreamt of, which some people may consider a taste of what awaits in "heaven". And moreover such a partner can also cause you to pick yourself up and improve yourself - to ascend if you will. As a dear friend of mine recently put it: To motivate someone to motivate themselves.

See? That is a good approach to the whole thing.
My problem/beef is that this is told as you need to only wait and you will be given "it". And where people have no patience to wait so they take "it" because they already "know" they are "owed" "it".
People are not told how to seek or find a good partner and what is a good partner or what is this mystical thing called a "relationship" and what are the signs of an healthy one.
So they don't just mess up. They are proud of messing up.
