I became aware that I was something called a "furry fan" during the early 90's, even though I unconsciously nurtured a predilection for anthropomorphic characters as early as the mid 80's. Once I knew that there was a community dedicated to this and that I wanted to be a part of it, one of my first contacts with fan creations were the early works of EWS , such as the delightful Amy the Squirrel animations on the Commodore Amiga, and later his webcomic Sabrina Online.
Sabrina and Amy are the two furry characters that probably had the greatest influence on my own character stable and universe. I have always wanted to be able to show Mr. Schwartz my appreciation for his work and the effect it had on me, on my personal art style and on my own creations, and I hope this small tribute is able to do just that. Thank you so much for it all, and here's hoping for much more fun and great comics to come!

You know I can’t really think about which artist was my own influence for my characters and universes that are built around them. I was always fascinated by anthros before I even heard of or knew what a Furry was. But as best I can tell, James Hardiman, God rest his soul, was the guy whose art style fascinated me art the humanoid form and appearance of anthro and how their anatomy is captured by all sorts of artists. Ironic how Eric Schwartz was yours who’s protagonist is a skunk and James’s for me were skunks too.
One of the first ever things that cemented the fact that I was going to be a "furry fan" for the rest of my life was that animation of Amy walking to the park.
That thing may have been clearly fanservice-y, but I owe my happiness to it because it led me down the path of anthropomorphic beauty.

This brings back memories of when I first started showing an interest in the furry fandom several years ago, thanks to webcomics like Better Days, which was quite controversial at the time, as well as spin-offs of that same comic, several of the comics from James Hardiman (RIP), the webcomic Housepets! and others. However, that did not happen with Sabrina Online, although at that time I had been told on multiple occasions that this webcomic was one of the most popular in the furry fandom, for the simple fact that it was written in English and as my level of understanding about that language was pretty poor, I had no choice but to let it go. The comics and webcomics that I mentioned before, on the other hand, were translated into Spanish and that allowed me to be able to enjoy them in that tone with respect to those that were not in my language.
Leaving that aside, I have memories of Sabrina due to the failed attempt to read Sabrina Online and the fan art about her but nothing else. And about Amy the Squirrel I can't say anything because I never got to see anything about her at the time, unfortunately. However, I can say that both characters look great in your artstyle and I can also say that it is a good tribute to the work of Mr. Schwartz without a doubt; great work by the way. :3

The comic is indeed still in progress, though I don't think the original site is updating any longer.
EWS is posting them on Patreon and then on FurAffinity a bit later.
