I think they are well its never been really been mentioned but. I assume they are brothers since they live in the same den and useraly hangout together, so far officialy everyone knows nelson has a skanky sister he tried to have sex with.

It's verrrrrrrrrry hard to tell in the first season. But. Second season, Nelson ends up with Vince's mom. So. Definitely not related to each other. :P

During the first series, the show's website said that Vince was Nelson's cousin (not sure if it's mentioned in any of the episodes... possibly the one with the runt fox cub?). They seem to have retconned that for the second series to have them just be 'friends'.

Aye, and in fact, in the second episode, there's a line about being an uncle to the kits. Though I can't remember offhand if it was phrased 'like an uncle' or more concretely. I'm more in favor of 'just friends' as illogical as the friendships in this series are. :P

You're right: Nelson does say 'I'm going to be an uncle!'. I think that's still based on the original idea that they were cousins, since that could make him an uncle once removed or a second uncle or something (never sure about those family relation terms). The change on the BBC website is really out of place for the synopsis of that episode: "When his neighbour Vince has a litter of fox cubs, Nelson is thrilled to be an uncle at last" ??? it used to say 'cousin' where it now says 'neighbour', which made a lot more sense.

I guess they changed it because it makes for a more interesting dynamic (and lets them do stuff like the best man episode), but I agree it's difficult to understand why Nelson would consider Vince a friend... or why Vince didn't f**k and eat Nelson the first time they met!

Interesting. Well, I'm getting the BluRay in (eventually) and I wonder if there's any commentary or anything beyond the pilot episode. *hmm* I'm just hoping there's subs so that I can have accurate information for S1's songs on my OST Lyrics project.

your not the first american furry who loves this show, lols like I said furries love this show but its more popular here atm I think the creators of this show wasn't to sure the rest of the world would like mongrels well thats what I think but believe me there are alot of non british fans/furrys who love this show.

This is the best TV show I've seen from the UK since Little britain, Bo selecta and Mike Strutter i'm so hooked into mongrels I wanted to get the DVD since I first saw it in stores on day one release this is the best show ever.

I know I'm so hyped to see the second season to, this is one of the very few shows I will never miss used to watch this every thursday (new episodes from season 1) and re runs every night on TV and BBC iplayer to.

Nice work, I think it is the first Mongrels pic I have seen that wasn't photomorph. The sad thing about the program for me was that it was very short (series wise) but I guess the BBC will be more likely to pick it up for another one later.
