I have the feeling that even if the black dragon had his feet inside the blanket it might not have made much difference. The purple dragon does look rather mischievous so I could imagine him quietly slipping the blanket back to tickle his prey.
Though I suspect that the purple dragon's feet are probably just as ticklish so maybe the black dragon will get him back.
