The economics of a world populated entirely by pokemon has always fascinated me, because the world would need to accommodate species of pokemon of all shapes and sizes in order to function properly, whereas the real world is generally built around people of the same size.
Money, for instance: would larger pokemon have to pay more for food, clothing and housing since more materials are required to meet their survival needs? And with that being said, would an aggron's wage be higher than a mudkip's? They should both be making the necessary amount to sustain themselves.

they havent really reached the technological or economical level where thats an actual issue. sentient pokemon in the mystery dungeon universe have a society thats loosely (well okay very very loosely) somewhere between the bronze and iron ages as far as i can tell. socially speaking there doesnt actually seem to be much of a major hierarchy based upon class/ race/ or size. which is interesting because, as were all aware, they arent human and thus shouldnt have independantly developed a society thats 100% analogous to ours. as far as government... there doesnt really seem to be any until explorers with the Explorer Federation which seems to have several villages under the protection of its various guilds and has made laws and enforces those laws with a police force alongside guild approved bounty hunter teams. economically theres the shops and such, id assume theres also farmers, construction workers, stone masons, and considering we do see, find, and can puchase iron and steel spikes id assume theres some kind of smithy profession among the fire and/or rock types. the majority of cash flow though seems to be through the guilds, though. i am curious about their economy; but considering the guilds seem to be the government via the federation, and said guilds run off a kind of meritocracy as far as pay and cashflow, i highly doubt size is a factor in pay but rather it would be based upon skill and/ or experiance.
