On this day in 1732, George Washington was born. He is known as the first president of the United States, and he was a general in the French and Indian War, before the well-known American Revolution. There was something else that happened on Washington's Birthday with the Liberty Bell. It was last rung on February 22, 1846. Suddenly, the crack was more visible and so the bell was no longer safe to ring. It is gently tapped in a museum in Philadelphia, PA. Also to mark the occasion on 2/22/22, I drew Patriot riding Anthony with Patriot holding a fife and singing "Yankee Doodle" with Anthony telling him to get off his back. I hope you enjoyed it!
