They could've become the head of The Council of Mages, if they wanted, but the quiet rustling of the pages in secretive silence is far more to their liking. Their kingdom of knowledge is still called The Tower's Library even though no one else dared traversing its ever-changing paths in a long time. They do muse themselves a librarian however, though the rules of booklanding is more akin to a devil deal - they have no need for physical posessions but instead giving you a book have to lead to a damn good story (that you tell returning the book, or, well, they trap your soul in one of their dark foliants)
