Here's another one of my commentaries on a lesser-known Warner Bros. cartoon short, to commemorate today being the 20th anniversary of the passing of Chuck Jones, my favorite classic-era Warner Bros. Animation director. I am discussing one of my favorite one-shot cartoons he did near the end of his run with Termite Terrace, "Now Hear This" released in 1963. A very stylized and abstract "artsy" short that also greatly showcases the talents of sound effect wizard Treg Brown, it was the last Warner Bros. cartoon short to get an Oscar nomination. But it was also the short that introduced the infamous "Abstract WB" opening and closing logo sequences that would go on to start and end all of the DePatie-Freleng and Format Films-produced Looney Tunes shorts afterward.
