Fetch With Benefits
"Sorry, Arrow, but frisbee is just a game no dog can play better than a border collie," teased the black and white border. Callee McBorder tossed his head proudly as he trotted just in front of the caramel coated duck tolling retriever. "Maybe you'd do better if we were tossing ducks back and forth!"
"And maybe you'd be doing better if your legs could move as fast as your mouth!" Arrow shouted back in mock anger, not being able to hide the smile on her face.
She chased him around the pastoral countryside, both of them enjoying the feeling of fresh grass under their pawpads. He was getting too cheeky, tossing the frisbee up in the air, leaping and catching it, landing just as she was getting near only to dart to the side in the characteristic zigzagging pattern typical of his breed. She was smart though, climbing the hill at a moderate speed as he encircled it. Once he was almost directly in front of her, she raced down the hill, using the decline to increase her velocity.
She landed on top of him, not entirely by fortune, at least half by design. "Never expect a herding dog to do a hunting dog's job, Callee," she said in a sultry voice, tilted her head to the side so that her untamed hair cascaded over, painted in warm hues by the sun's light.
The border collie felt her hands on his hips, the palms of them dangerously close to a key area. He had to wonder if this was also part of the plan. Grinning sheepishly, he looked up at her as he placed a hesitant paw on her shoulder, almost moaning as he felt her weight shift forward over his hips. "I'm sorry, Miss, but I have to ask, was I the only thing that you'd be interesting in hunting today?" It was his attempt at flirting and fishing out whether or not she was interested in the same thing he was.
Her pink tongue flicked across her top incisors, and it made him shiver. "You know, in addition to hunting overconfident borders, I'm also really good at finding...bones," she growled suggestively as she placed her hips slowly on top of his.
She was pleasantly surprised with his comeback. "Then we are both in for a treat, Miss Arrow. You'll find that I am an expert at burying them."
My half of an art trade with
of her duck tolling retriever, Arrow, and
's character, Callee, having a more than friendly game of frisbee. She asked me to type a little blurb up, so I did. I hope I got the characters right, guys.

Oh, my! How delightfully lovely! ^^ I've always enjoyed your work, so this is just as much an honour as a surprise... though pleasantly so, of course! *Wags* My thanks to both of you- especially you for your talents herein. I love the colours, in particular; they're so soft and effective, very warm overall. Beautiful work, thank you! *Arfs!*
I can hardly express how absolutely, positively, marvelously, stupendously, amazingly AWESOMETASTIC THIS IS!!! You got our flirtatious ways down to an absolute "T" and I LOVE how you incorporated the hunting aspect of duck tollers- I really forget to do that and it's my species! lol! Wielder, this is beyond incredible- the coloring is soft enough (unlike mine that blares like an obnoxious neon sign lol) that it sets the mood and doesn't distract from the characters. Our colorings, expression and personality in the writing are perfect and the background is immaculate beyond scale and puts me *right* there (you know there's no better place I'd rather be ;3 )!
Thank you Wielder- this surpasses my half times a million so be on the look out for some more gift art ;)! THANK YOU!!!!

This picture speaks volumes on summer love, the fresh vitality of the season, the playfulness of two characters, life's joy and abandon, and the rush of energy we all feel at the turn of the season into warmer months.
You are truly a master of markers, and I love the way you depict characters, period. You really know how to capture a moment.

I am very impressed by every aspect of this piece.
Your expressions continue to capture the essence of the moment, and you did a great job on the clothes.
On that note, it's nice to see a well-drawn, tasteful, yet still awesome M/F piece.
The background looks incredible. And wow, the colors.
