yeah ive always hated that. like, idk man... personally id rather just stay there, why exactly MUST i return to the human world exactly? and why do writers in anime and other media always assume that youd want to? like... okay, i just had the most amazing adventure of my life, i just saved an entire world, i have lots of new friends and even potential family that love me in this new world and now that the crisis is over i can focus on building myself a new life and legacy potentially for not only myself and my potential future children but even perhaps the entire pokemon world. why the heck would i ever want to just ditch all that just to go back to the human world and my 9-5 job so i can struggle with student loan debt and taxes... i just.. idk, i cannot relate whatsoever to the desire to return here.

and then, when said writers DO have an isekai'd person that wants to stay they always make them the bad guy.. like.. bro.. not everyone who wants to stay wants to do so just to raise hell and be evil. thats just a really dumb trope.

Bare in mind, the game was made with the idea that our character is a CHILD, and probably has family back home who are worried sick about them. Except for Explorers of Time and Darkness, where the story is that we're the last surviving human that traveled back in time from a post apocalyptic future. Super Mystery Dungeon also changed the outcome so that our main character gets to continue living as a pokemon, but our partner is the one who ends up having to disappear. Post game content involves us going on a mission to save their soul and bring them back.

But on a somewhat related note, the Mystery Dungeon manga ends with the main character being granted the power to travel freely back and forth between the two worlds. So he can revisit his friends whenever he wants.

The manga version sounds like a pretty good deal! Though if it were me, it would be the other way around. Probably moving my main life to the Pokémon world while only coming back here occasionally to visit human friends & family~

I'm inclined to agree. Being a pokemon would be far more preferable. Especially if we had the freedom to choose our species!

So… the reason why everything is so wrong in the iron series is because; one, some legendary Pokémons made the humans disappear after the world is safe and left the technology without control, making everyone kill each other with the iron weapons; or second, that after some bitter battle the legendary pokemons lost and some humans used the same iron that they used to save everyone to state a tyranny.

I really like this scenario. Great work!
