Hey. If I'm a merc in an african village, there's a good chance my gun is a bit beat up, and maybe the mag is bent/twisted a bit. But it's a Kalashnikov, so it still works fine.
Also, firing from the hip tends to waste precious ammo. Unless you're using a shotgun or grenade launcher.
