В нашей стране ты не можешь открыто высказывать свое мнение. Если твое мнение не совпадает с государственной идеологией, тебе обеспечат множество проблем: от постановки на учёт как иностранного агента, до реальных тюремных сроков и политических убийств.
Сейчас правительство моей страны влезло в очередную "маленькую победоносную войну". Этот термин, придуманный еще в царской России, означает вооруженный конфликт против якобы слабого врага для повышения статуса правителя. Это отвратительная и античеловечная практика, которая должна была умереть вместе с Советским Союзом.
Мирные жители не поддерживают войну. И мне жаль, что я никак не могу повлиять на происходящие события. Это уничтожает надежду на восстановление дружеских отношений с ранее братским народом и будет сказываться на жизнях людей еще много лет.

I am so sad all of this is happening. Be safe. I'm so sad there is that madman sending your country's sons on this insane fool's errand. The West doesn't hate you or your people, just that monster who caused this. I hope the war is over soon in a just manner. I feel foolish saying anything since I am not directly affected, but still I am starting to cry while typing.

The important word here is "formerly". you can't fight the neo-Nazis of Azov, Pravi Sektor, Misanthropic division, and their ilk with memes. Constant shelling of their position is what allow the Russian forces to go forth. Ukraine is not a "small victorious war". It's army has been trained and backed by the US, which is the true enemy in this war.
Oh, BTW, I'm French. France is a democratic country in which the power has been seized by a gang of crooks paid by the US. And whenever there is a demonstration against the regime, it's heavily repressed. Demonstrators have lost eyes, hands and so many ended up in hospital. France now resembles the Chile of the Pinochet era. There are no opposition mass medias any more. It's to a point I'd rather live in Russia. It may be an authoritarian regime, but at least, the shelves in the supermarkets are stocked.
