It seems like a lot of my characters smoke, but really there's just a few. They just happen to be characters I've been drawing a lot lately.
This is fanart for Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark. I mentioned earlier that I often use Three as my mental character placeholder whenever I play an RPG. And having just finished the campaign for this game I decided to draw a random scene that came to mind for it. I liked having Valen and Deekin with me as companions for most of the trip. Valen is a Tiefling warrior (AKA a half demon) and Deekin is a kobold bard. The two are just so utterly opposite of one another that pairing the two up as my companions was way too much fun. Three has ditched her disguise because she figures that with these two she doesn't stand out that much appearance wise.
Valen is hovering on his feet because he's in a hurry, and Deekin is singing his doom song as always. Three is availing herself of one of her recreational cigarettes, which has a similar affect as drinking a glass of wine. She doesn't really get along with people, unfortunately. So having little moments where she can tune out the world and calm her nerves keeps her from strangling everyone who gets too close.
I don't know if I'll have time to color this up as I've got a lot of irons in the fire, but I liked the image enough to scan in the linework at least. Valen and Deekin are the properly of Bioware.

actually funny you should say digital, now a days there countless different programs and home pages that offers ways of playing the classic dice rolling rpg over the net, sure it´s not the same thing as around the table, but it´s a good way to have the freedom of a pen and paper, with the convenience of the net.
Deekin is a special case, I think. I actually left out his red dragon wings which he sort of spontaneously sprouts during the game. You learn that his old mentor made him with a smidge of dragon blood which makes him more intelligent and creative than a normal kobold. Although that isn't really saying much. At one point he corners Valen and asks him about the horns on his head, curious if he's part goat. When Valen explains that he's part demon he asks, "Demons make babies?"
He's the cutest thing. I want to take him home and feed him cookies.
