Some already know that I have an AU, with a story of about what happens to Steele, after Balto saved Nome.

In this AU, thanks to Steele's bad deeds, he lost his friends and followers, and since he didn't perform well in the medicinal race, his owner demoted him to a position behind the sled guide. His owner bought a new sled guide; Dakota. The story tells of being enemies, both of them; Steele and Dakota eventually fall in love and work together.

Here we have Niju's reference sheet in the story (Although it can also be considered a redesign of the character) In this story Niju is a secondary character that does appear. Right now, he is the leader of a pack of wild wolves in northern Alaska, and Aleu's current mate.
Although he leads the pack together with Aleu, he takes care and protection of his lands very seriously, so every time someone enters them, he fights to keep them intact. On his land there is a sled pass, and many times he and members of the pack attack the sleds. Once he attacks Dakota and Steele's dogsled, Steele to gain time, leaves the team and fights Niju, but Niju is stronger, Finally Aleu arrives and recognizes Steele, asks Niju to let him pass and the team.
