ELLIE AND JOHN: the mother and father of the Ward siblings. John is a cat, and Ellie is a demonicorn. John is incredibly superstitious, and believes angelicorns and demonicorns are actual angels and demons. Despite this, he got together with a demonicorn, having two children with her. John’s relationship with his family was shaky, the last straw being Jack’s birth. When he saw his son’s mutated appearance, he snapped, calling them all demons of the darkest pits of Hell. He claimed Ellie used her “devilish charms” to manipulate him into a relationship so she could produce more devils, and that Jack was the sign that he was right. Ellie mysteriously died that night, and John told Jack it was his fault before abandoning his sons.

MARK: Mark is a blue jay that was adopted by the couple after they found him abandoned. John loved him, genuinely, likely due to the fact he isnt a demonicorn. However, Mark despises his adoptive father due the way he treated his siblings and mother. He raised his siblings after John abandoned his family. Mark appears calm and collected on the surface, but he is stressed, worried about losing his brothers or John coming back. He knows the truth about Ellie’s death, but keeps it from his brothers as he believes they have been through enough already. He legally changed all three of their surnames to “Ward” to further distance themselves from their father.

CHARLEY: The elder of the biological children of John and Ellie. John never liked him, likely due to their huge interest in dark magic and similar topics. They share a similar laid back attitude as their adoptive brother. They are a trustworthy and reliable friend, always willing to help someone out in a bind. It often prefers to float around instead of walk, and uses telekinesis instead of just grabbing things itself. It often spends its time watching horror movies and reading old legends about witchcraft and vampires.

JACK: The youngest of the siblings, but the most mature of the bio-kids. He is very irritable, often getting Charley or Mark’s case on something in the house that needs to be done. He has a cynical attitude about life, likely coming from the way his father treated him, and does blame himself for his mother’s death. Despite his angry exterior, he isn’t a jerk, he just doesn’t want to get close to anyone out of fear of going through anything similar to what John put him and his family through.
