I haven't finished a full Mellifera picture in actual years. I've been relying on past completed commissions as references when purchasing art, and thus a sort of art telephone game has taken place, each new piece straying farther from my original vision of Melli. With my own art improving I figured I would give the queen what she deserves and attempt a full reference sheet of Mellifera how I envisioned her. She will always be evolving and changing with me and my growth, and I still adore every piece of art I've ever recieved of her, but it was nice to spend time bringing her to life. I hope to finish the rest of the reference sheet soon but enjoy this frontal view a little early!
