Love the under-the-figure lighting. I always thought that was cool, and never know why I don't give it a shot.
Critique-wise, don't neglect the toes like me-- make yourself give as much attention to the feet as you do the hands. I find that helps balance out the figure a lot better. Also, your lines are really unnoticeable except on the thighs and fingers-- try adding some shadows to the tops of the legs and making the tops of the fingers a little darker, and your lines will hide away there, too. Make that unique light source work for you-- you built in in there anyway, haha. Punching up a couple darker areas is something you could try, but I honestly can't say if it will improve the look of your pic.

No, though you may have done that (something I do myself), you're also starting to balance out a value scale that runs all the way from light to dark, which will generally kill the lines. Maybe you could try a high-contrast piece that's either full shadow or full light no matter where you look at the picture. It's a challenge, but it will get your mind working on how to shade things dramatically.

in other words, I love this very much. The shading on her hair is really soft and nice, and the under lighting is cool. I do think she looks too thin though,like her ribcage would pus out to almost her elbow. Other than that, greatness galore <3

I remember doing something similar, but I felt if I swung high enough I could just touch the stars. I could just feel the sky 'pulling' me towards it, very overwhelming feeling.
I feel you've captured that day-dreaming and imagination of that feeling though. Very beautiful and light feeling.
