This quickie started from a sketch I drew last year and only now after a marathon of watching 'The Animals Of Farthing Wood' with
jamesthedog, I decided it was time I did another tribute to the show.
If you know the show, then you'll know who Fox and Vixen's cubs were. My favourite one by far was Bold, but in second place was Friendly, who unlike the other cubs simply did NOT live up to his name, at least not to begin with. Unlike Bold, Friendly was very loyal to his father and very untrusting towards the blue foxes in White Deer Park.
Enjoy ;)
PS: I noticed how DeviantART has a LOT of Farthing Wood fanart! On FA it is a lot harder to come by, and the subject matter of some of it is so foul that no words can describe how offended I am by it. So I also sort of see this as a little something that will even the load a little ^^

You have me watching the show now. I swear what a sad but awesome show. So much death. I think Bold's was hardest to take. He had cubs and a mate he left behind. Whisper blamed herself so much...
I'm glad I'm watching though. Its nice to find some old school animation. I didn't know about. Kids these days have such poor examples of animation and a a series with a good plot. I mean I can only think of maybe AVATAR The Last Airbender (Avatar could have been in the golden age of cartoons thats how good it is). Its sad that most kids are never going to see a series with real heart. Most of of 25 + folks have been lucky enough to be around when cartoons still had plot and life lessons.
