After talking with Faline, Rolla and Lana in the meadow, Gurri, fed up with the labels of being a defendless female, decided to prove to her dad that she is as brave as he is, and slipped out of trouble with The Fox.
The Fox is an aggressive bandit and scavenger fox in the part of the forest where Gurri and Geno live.
Gurri thought that if she fought The Fox and won, she would prove that she is as strong and brave as a male, and her father Bambi would accept her brother Geno's fighting and forest protection activities.
Gurri went to get in trouble with The Fox and asked him to fight.

Gurri: "Fox! I came looking for you to ask to fight you!"
Fox: "Oh my, I thought that the one who would finally teach me of my crimes would be the Great Prince Bambi, but instead he, came his defenseless little daughter. Go away girl, before I decide to hurt you"
Gurri: "No Fox! Don't call me small or defenseless, I'm going to prove to dad that I'm as strong as a male, like my brother, and he'll have to listen to me!"
Fox: "So problems with your father, huh?"

The Fox reasoned, he thought that Gurri would be a very good meal, and in the end he agreed to fight her. The Fox was more cunning and agile than Gurri, so he quickly pounced on her, biting and injuring her. Gurri wanted to face her, but The Fox was very agile.
The Fox made her fall down a small hailstone, to immobilize her faster, and when she fell to the ground, Gurri lost a tooth from her blow, and she was injured on one of her arms, preventing her from getting up and running away.
Gurri knew that she was wrong, she made a hasty decision to challenge The Fox. Gurri was screaming for help, but it seemed like that was the end of her. When The Fox approached her to kill her, Gurri miraculously escaped her, 'cause The Fox was shot by someone hiding in the bushes.
