I've been talking about this character for a while, and I finally have drawings for him.
Advice I Need
Which of these plates communicates this idea the best: he has an injury on his nose, and he's protecting it with a plate of metal?
I need advice, because I'm not sure how well I drew the plate, or if what I drew confuses you.
You can choose one, or combine, like saying "I like the cap on Plate A, but I like how you attached it to his snoot on Plate C." Or if you think none of them did the job, and you have other ideas, I give you permission to draw over the blank one. Please show it to me without posting it.
Dogree's Story
Dogree is pretty much Reptu's archnemesis. You know how Reptu's a treasure hunter, right? The world they live in is filled with these labyrinths that hold puzzles and treasures. As a puppy, Dogree wanted to be a firefighter. It was his dream. But his dad insisted that he be a treasure hunter to make money off of finding and selling the treasures. When Dogree resisted, his dad crushed his dream and forced him to become a treasure hunter, ordering him to sniff the ground for hours in search of scents to guide himself through the mazes. This overworking has caused Dogree to grind his nose into the ground for so long that it has caused some injuries.
Since treasure hunting ruined him, Dogree plans to ruin treasure hunting for everyone else. Thus, he enslaves fire-breathing dragons, puts them in shock collars, and forces them to set these mazes ablaze. One of these dragons is Plummet, who hopes break himself and the other dragons out of the prison. Overall, Dogree's villainous nature is due to his traumatic past. Sadly, now he's doing the opposite of his dream: instead of putting out fires, he starts them.

Wow, thank you for taking time to read the description to know that you can mix and match attachments and plates. And thank you for the advice. I do like how you picked out plate C, because I thought the design was a good idea to repeat the shape in the center. And yes, nostril slits are important. I added them for breathing in the final design, but I didn't realize they're important for sniffing as well until you pointed that out, so thanks.
