I have a dragonborn now. His name is Flowen, and I wanted an aquatic theme for him... which lead me down a rabbit hole of Eastern lore depicting dragons as rainmakers, river guardians and the rulers over the oceans. Until suddenly before I knew it he'd become an Eastern style dragonborn. And then I started homebrewing a whole new arcane school for Wizards based around making the Create or Destroy Water spell much more useful so that my new dragon boy could literally make it rain... and the rabbit hole just kept on going deeper... and deeper...
This is the most weeb I'll get for a while. I promise. Also, cloaks made out of literal water. We've heard cloaks described as flowing before!! This is merely an escalation of that. Yes, he turns it off when he goes indoors. Usually. Unless he's trying to send you a message by making puddles all around your house. I'm sure villains and tavern keepers alike will hate him. In hindsight, maybe this is why I run D&D more often than I get to play it...
I owe
Madness_demon credit for another absolutely phenomenal design with this character. Maddy has always been an absolute treasure to work with and every bit of design work I ask for comes back better than I originally envisioned them. Please consider sending some support their way if you ever get the chance.

I must say, this cape is probably one of the most visually-striking choices of clothing that I've ever seen. The way it dissolves into water is just, so clever and beautiful. I cannot say it's the first time I see flowing water used as fabric, but damn if this isn't an especially gorgeous and inspiring example of the concept. Don't get me wrong, though : while the cape kind of steals the show, the design as a whole is truly just as exquisite. First and foremost, I love how the callous parts of his body are made of coral instead of horn. It gives so much individuality to his silhouette. And the touch of red it brings to his colour scheme really makes a world of difference. Another detail I love is the bioluminescent barbels (I think that's what those things are called). His face already looks delightfully expressive without them, but who doesn't enjoy a moustachioed dragon snout ? :p Also, if the cape turning into water is definitely the most memorable part of his outfit, I really like the hood-like veil that connects the shoulder pads to the headpiece. All in all, his upper body has such an elegant shape. But really, from the point of his horns to the tip of his toes, his design is flowingly flawless. I'm impatient to see more of him. :3
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like him. :D His outfit takes inspiration from quite a few places, one being Age of Sigmar where a certain faction also uses similar watery cloaks to very breathtaking effect. While his coral horns take me back in time a little bit to the Dragon Palace at the bottom of the sea in Okami. Which was probably my favourite location out of the whole game.
Ohhh, I don't know anything about Age of Sigmar, but you definitely make me want to check it out. I do know Okami's Dragon Palace, though, and it is indeed a truly sumptuous location (although I'm still a little frustrated that it's ultimately just a reskin of Sasa Sanctuary ; I always thought that it kind of prevents the place to feel as unique as it deserves). Anyway, I feel the need to point out again how awesome this guy and his design are. Although now I cannot look at him without thinking of this theme (and since it's probably just a matter of time before you start drawing spicy portraits of this handsome lad, I feel obliged to mention this one as well :p ).
