Shortly before Valentine's Day, I was doing the weekly grocery shopping and stumbled upon something that caught my fancy--a very cute, soft, giant (at least by fennec standards) plush fennec... and, as it seems like many artists do when they come into possession of a new stuffed animal, I decided to make a character based off him.
I haven't decided if he's going to be a pudgy "magical pet" feral type like Damijan (who is also based off a stuffed animal I found on clearance after Valentine's Day 2020, right before The Plague really took hold), or another short, pudgy Underwear Fennec (I seem to have a few characters that match that description already), but either way he is a soft friendly creature.
Also, "Tino" (short for "Valentino") seems like a good name for a pudgy fennec, as the name just sorta sounds pointy like a fox, but also like a name you'd expect a fat guy to have.
*Soda can provided for scale because I don't own a banana.

Thanks! One of the friends I showed the picture to says the plush already looks like my drawing style.
It's a very soft plush, very nice to touch. Perfect level of stuffing, too--not too floppy, but not overstuffed to the point of being too rigid. Maybe I need to do a plush toy review. Bonus points for how soft, but a couple points have to be deducted for the fact that he has a very stumpy tail.
Based on most of the videos I've seen of fennecs, the idea of him being an overly cheerful little doofus actually seems fitting. With that little bow tie of his, maybe he could be a little waiter or butler or bellhop or something along those lines, where a bit of over-friendliness and over-cheerfulness and a dash of excited awkwardness could be more endearing than annoying.
