You've caught a wild yoshi out in the plains. It looks like he was about to go skinny dipping in the pond and is now teasing you. Can you catch him before he flies away? Probably not unless he wants to go for a ride. It's probably best to just join him in the pond for awhile.

Yes, that is the purpose. It's a background/wallpaper that you can use on your phone/computer. I've done three of them so far and each one makes for a good background should you ever want to use any of them. I plan on doing more of these for friends/other characters as they've all been very fun to do so far.
