shelling out money on these fuggin books made me so sad i had to get a horse plush just to cheer myself up x.x; hopefully ill be able to sell most of these books close to purchase price cause they are staying in near press quality with my nifty book/folio covers i made :P

Oh excellent you're going to do A+, Trust me it will give a good, general, understanding of all computer aspects. It's good prerequisite to anything in the IT field, right now I'm working on getting my Cisco CCNA certification.
But yeah A+ is a good thing to have if you want to go into the IT field. IT'S GREAT TO LEARN \o/
good luck, Though A+ is only focuses on the Windows OS mainly from windows 2000 to vista currently, they may update the 2009 edition soon to accommodate windows 7.

the A+ cert has already been updated and this book has been rewritten to handle the update. XD which is why its a brand new book instead of last years model x.x; XD
and no im probably not going to do the A+ because the nearest cert school is 200 miles away and im broke XD

you want a digital copy of the previous edition? i have both in previous versions x.x; but the homework required specific case studies out of the book which are different from the two versions x.x;
so far there isnt anything in the A+ book that i dont already know x.x; i have some of my previous textbooks that i should have sold but eh... these ones are going back out XD
