Awareness? A show of solidarity? Maybe Draft Horse doesn't have the money to give (not surprising, as an artist) and instead wants to communicate support through their most skilled medium in the hopes others not necessarily privy to the western social media see it.
If this either inspires you or makes you angry enough to donate your own time and/or money... even just to show us how it's done, it's working.

Hun it seems a bit presumptuous to assume I’m not helping out (There’s a reason why I haven’t been posting lately). You shouldn’t go around thinking poorly of others because you never bothered to learn more about someone.
Id be happy to tell you about how I’ve been helping, but you don’t seem to be interested in that.

I’d argue that it’s a bad idea throwing your lot to either side of the conflict, especially with all of the propaganda being thrown out by everyone and everything.
Ukraine has been fighting a civil war against Donbas for well over eight years now and have units that are… well, let’s just say it’s the only nation that has a neo-version of a particular political group that the west and the Russians don’t agree with among their ranks.
However, the Russians invading a sovereign nation like they have is also not the most morally upstanding things either as well as their desires to reintegrate large sections of Ukraine back into the Russian sphere of influence.
The west, in all of this, is making the situation much worse by imposing sanctions against Russia over this, demonizing almost exclusively the Russians in all of this, and lying about the Russian leadership while calling for some extreme measures. There’s already cases where Orthodox Churches in New Zealand and the US have been vandalized because of all of this vitriol against the Russians.
None of that is helping the situation. It’s only making it worse for everyone involved and the rest of the globe.
I usually don’t try to engage in politics on here because it’s a sensitive subject, but with how the situation is going, I feel compelled to express my viewpoint.
The only advice I will give is this:
If you don’t have any stakes in the situation, it’s best to avoid it. It’s a complicated matter that goes all the way back to the early Soviet Era, which most people don’t know the full details of.
The best option in this situation is to not pick and choose a side. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care about those in the middle of this mess, obviously. Rather, it is best to not pick and choose a political faction and promote further escalation of the conflict. We should remember that there are innocents on all sides of this conflict, both Ukrainian and Russian. I care about the Ukrainian civilians stuck in the cities as much as I do those civilians living in the DPR and LPR who’ve had to endure years of conflict in a war completely forgotten by the west. I care as much about the lives of the Ukrainian military men who want to defend their homes as much as the Russian soldiers who are having to fight this war, often far away from home.
All of them matter, which is why we should avoid trying to goad this conflict and escalate it further. If you want to do something, help fund the humanitarian efforts to help out the civilians in all of this, but don’t be encouraging them to fight. Neither side truly wants to fight this war.

(Sorry for my English). May I know your country or city? It's nice to know that someone understands the situation. Maybe I'm late, but I want to say that it's always nice to meet someone who looks at all this as an informed and peaceful person. For 8 years this neo-Nazi hell cannot stop. I have been living under artillery fire from Ukraine for 8 years now. However, whether you like it or not, this genocide cannot be stopped through negotiations. Many relatives and friends who have nothing to do with weapons have died at the hands of Ukraine. And Russia finally moved on and helped us move this war a little bit away from us. However, Ukrainian missiles do not hit me and my colleagues so much as my house, where my parents and my girlfriend live. I hope to return home alive. I am writing to you as a private in the army of the Donetsk People's Republic. A Ukrainian that Ukrainians like me have been trying to kill almost all his life. If you are interested to know how everything happens in the first person, I could share.
My only comment on the entire matter is this:
Pray for those on both sides of this conflict that they may see peace. There are many innocent souls - whether they be civilian or military - who are in grave danger in these troublesome times. Pray that this ends quickly and brings as little suffering and pain as possible.
No one wants this conflict, both Russian and Ukrainian. Everyone should remember that, especially those far away from all of these things.
War is a tragedy; Lest we forget that truth.
