It's a beautiful day. MazinJeeg Prime is about to play a videogame. He turns his PS4 on and...
"Alright! Gaming time! Lock and load! Let's check the next trophy."
He checks the trophy list and notices one where it requires a very very very tough quest.
"Oh... Well... It can't be that bad. right?..."
But many tries later...
"GRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
ROCKET PUCH!!!!
And here we have the new episode of MazinJeeg Prime's Show fully colored! Just like with the ink, it took two days to color this but I finally made it. Fun fact about the third panel: I was split on how to color my eyes. At first, I was thinking of coloring those in yellow with red shades, but in the end I chose red because it emphasizes anger more.
Now onto the topic:
This pic is based on difficulty in videogames. I want to make straight that I have nothing against hard difficulty. It's a good way to have a better challenge in gaming, otherwise it would be too easy and not interesting. But, unfotunately, there are some cases where they put an unfair difficulty. For unfair difficulty I mean those quests or in worse cases, the entire game, which are so hard to complete, almost impossible, unless you are a pro gamer. It's like one of developper planned things cruelly and sadistically, without giving a gamer the chance to learn how to complete a point. There are lot of examples of unfair difficulties. I want to mention three of them. One is Crash Bandicoot 4 It's About Time. I have both love and hatred over this game. I love it because it's a new Crash game after so many years. I hate it because the levels are so long and full of traps. And it that wasn't enough, if you want to get 105% ending, you need to get all time relics. But not either golden or platinum, no. You have to get all platinum relics. That's completely insane and impossible! You're telling me that I have to go through such long and fylly trapped levels to complete time relics? Are they mad?
Another example is KH3 data battles. Let's say this isn't very tragical but some of the bosses are a pain in the ass. But then, here's the worse example of all... Yozora! The fucking Yozora! Man, how I hate him... I don't lie if I tell you that's the worst experience I ever had. He was a nightmare to me. I struggled so much in order to defeat him. Oh my God... When I finally defeated him, I was so happy for the triumph. But honestly I will fight him no more. He was so frustrating.
So to sum up. A game must be hard, but not insanely. The game must give the chance to learn from your mistake despite of the difficulty. Because if the difficulty is so exagerate, there's no fun with it, only frustration.
That's it for now. I hope you liked it and see you at the next episode of MazinJeeg Prime's Show!
