Haha yeah she definitly seems that way. but she's super loyal and is always there for her friends. Her diaper obsession is due in part to a botched surgery that left her bladder incon needing to use them, and they help calm her so she thinks everyone would benifit from them. She's just super easily excitable and maybe a bit too pushy about them. But honestly she would never actually force anyone into them, she's just teasing :) only her boyfriend halo gets the full change treatment lol
The point of azalea is as a comedic relief, just like those characers that touch boobs lol. The animes would be a lot less funny, and this comic would be alot less fun too. We would never have had the hectic opening of nao coming into the room.
And there would have been alot more dialog and less action and fun.
+ we would have never got to see Alex’s cool goth diapers so win win lol.

Yes well I am just one person, writing my first comic, by myself on my one day off a week lol, I do every part by myself while trying to maintain a over 55 hour a week job. There are of corse going to be issues with some people.
But personally I love her and see no issue with her, so I guess it’s just up to peoples interpretations of her. But honestly she’s based off me when I was a child.
I have severe adhd and Asperger’s and this is pretty much how I would act to a t. But less about diapers and more about crystals or Minecraft or galaxies. To the point where I don’t even talk about it anymore because people always used to say say I’m “too much” and “too intense”
So in that way she’s modeled after me

Haha that’s alright! Many of the characters in this comic have mental and physical disabilities/illnesses that can explain some of their personality/physical attributes.
Alex has a eating disorder (anorexia) so does the panda (a binge eating disorder) azalea has adhd, halo has Asperger’s, vanilla also has (adhd) (there’s a lot of adhd this is due to both me and my partner having adhd and a few of the characters in this comic are our comfort characters) naokuri has imposter syndrome which comes up later, miracle is paralysed from the waist down and has a amputated leg and ptsd from a car accident.
The list goes on :)
It’s just a way to make my comic more like real life and be as inclusive as possible!

Hey. One thing you learn pretty quick in making comics is that you dont have to justify how you're writing your characters. People will form opinions whether you explain stuff or not and people will also randomly get angry or decide how they want stuff to go and some folk will get pretty entitled and aggressive with you because you're not writing to THEIR specifications or plans they had in their head.
Keep focusing on what You have planned, its your comic and you can write the characters any way you want. People are only being drip fed one page at a time so they have no idea how the character development is going to be and make sort of knee jerk decisions over what the one or two pages they have info from. Over the course of time peoples opinions of characters will shift. A good example of this is Debbie in my comic CTN a lot of people hate her, but once they understand her motives and why she acts the way she does I think people will be able to understand her more and feel a bit foolish for judging her so harshly
It feels like a personal attack when someone tears apart a character you love and truthfully it always makes my heart drop when people do it to me and makes me feel really crap but ultimately only I know where the story and character development is going in my story and i try to keep that as my main focus and that sorta helps not feel so attacked when this happens to my characters.
Sorry for teh long winded message I just...I know how it feels when this sort of stuff happens.

I understand what your saying, it does hurt when people tear apart my characters, especially since most of the main cast either belong to me or my boyfriend, and are huge comfort characters and are actually based off ourselves, so it feels personal lol. Because it feels like people are saying “oh I don’t like how you act”
I’ll try to keep in mind that some people are just like that, it’s ridiculous people make so many assumptions about a character they have known for 3-4 pages.
