After what seemed like an endless time of searching and wishing, Star Dreams finally made her first friend that wasn't a stuffed plushie or one of her imaginary friends. An actual, living, breathing, real life pony! She tightly wrapped her hooves around her first and long-time friend, which happened to be a stuffed rabbit that had been given to her from a pony whose face she had long forgotten, but vaguely remembered smelling of roses. "Can you believe it, Rosie?" Star Dreams squealed, unable to contain her enthusiasm as it bubbled out of her like a fountain. "I have a friend!" She spun in a circle and did a merry little dance. Rosie flopped to and fro in the little pony's hooves, issuing a response that only Star Dreams could hear. "I know!" she giggled. "I can't believe that Lilymoon invited us over tomorrow, either! I can't wait to meet her family!" Calming down just a bit, she flopped backward onto her bed and shifted her weight, reaching for the heavy hardcover book that Princess Twilight and her friends had published. Her hoof lingered for a long time on the cover where Twilight Sparkle's cutie mark was displayed in the center of a horseshoe. "I owe it all to this." she acknowledged. A tiny spark glimmered behind her eyes as she held the cherished piece of literature close to her chest and sighed, contently.
