I finally got around to redoing Cherry!

Once again a result of degrading appreciation for the original art, I told myself for the longest time that I wanted to redraw Cherry and make a better reference for him. I originally had a different idea for why I drew him, but then it just started coming out so good that it started turning into a new reference. This is a big thanks to my iPad Pro + Apple Pencil, and the app I use for sketching, which includes a symmetry tool, meaning anything I draw on the left is then drawn on the right. I also figured out an easy way while coloring to speed up a symmetrical drawing like this, since Paint.NET doesn't include a mirror/symmetry tool: create a straight line from the top of the page to the bottom, directly in the middle of the page to act as a guide. Then, I would start drawing and curving the lines to make the outline. Once one side of the drawing was outlined, duplicate the layer and then flip it. Now everything lines up properly and it took a second to do the other half!

Anyway, some new ideas came in since I originally introduced Cherry, mainly the new outfits, but perhaps the big deal here is that not only does this look better, I got the chance to show off better what his kind of Dragonite looks like, and how chubby he's supposed to be. Once again, Cherry is the Special Variant of Ioan Dragonite, in which his body reflects the kind of statistics he has, which is higher Special Attack and Special Defense. This means he has handpaws and footpaws instead of claws. In terms of what's new:
1️⃣ New Apparel 🧵 Cherry has a few new outfits to talk about, including the returning cherry-red collar with a Cheri Berry on the tag. He now has some new accessories to show off too!
• Hammerring 💍 Forged by Sacred (@SDragon01), this silver ring utilizes the power of a magical rectangular-cut Spessartite, capable of summoning a large hammer whenever Cherry wnats. This not only gives him some form of physical weapon to fight with when his special attacks are not very effective, but he primarily uses it for playing pranks on his Softie friends, usually Doughshi.
• Neckerchief 🧣 A design decision to keep my Pokémon in sync with my Yoshi, Cherry is one of the first to also wear Doughshi's neckerchief. This or the collar are worn to represent his ownership to Doughshi.
• Oversized Hoodie 🧥 I originally added this in last year when I drew Wing again, just to get the visual across, but of course I didn't like how it looked to even show it. So now that I was making fresh art, I had a better opportunity to show it off. Cherry wears a bright red hoodie that's far too large for him - which that itself is incredible because he's big and chonky already - that has a green hood on it; you know, cherry colors! Because the sleeves are too long, he just lets them dangle freely and will pull them up when he needs them. It should also be worth noting that like Doughshi or Cinnamon, Cherry wears one of these outfits at a time, so he doesn't mix and match the collar or neckerchief with the hoodie, but he does wear the Hammerring under the sleeve of his hoodie.

2️⃣ New Colors 🖍 Also in an effort to try and separate some of my naturally skin-toned characters, I decided to make Cherry's skin tone a little pinker. From a distance, it's a bit hard to make out but if you put him up next to Oink-Oink, •, and Doughshi, you can make out the slight differences that all of them have. I decided to put it more in the pink/red direction since he is named after a red fruit.

Other than that, no other change with him, he's still the same outgoing, fun-loving Dragonite he has been. Thanks for looking and reading!
