go to Control Panel, from there, near the top of the page, second box on the left should be a box with links. one should say upload/change avatar.
save this somewhere and when you go to upload, browse and select it, it should automatically upload. After that, click the icon where it appears and it should become your icon. Click f5 if it doesn't show at first
